i think you are asking too much for a team mate

you want someone shitter than Webber but not too shit so as not to turn into a F1 Webber Show™

and the fact of the matter is there are no open seats at any of the top 4 teams

Thinking about this...what are the odds Red Bull just got really smart with strategy, pulled MW in knowing he was going nowhere and hoping Ferrari follow. Vettel continues, Alonso can't do better than 4th. WDC to Vettel. Its not like MW lost out, he was history for the WDC as soon as he screwed up Q3 (or the car was sh*t for Q3, whichever conspiracy you believe in).

'76 1380 Clubman (I really should fix it)
'86 AE82 Twin Cam (cunts trashed it, gone to the wrecker)
'85 JD Camira rally car (I trashed it, now its a Lanos)

Realistically The only options on the table apart from Red Bull where he'd want to move/would be given a fair run would be McLaren (don't see them wanting to get rid of Hamilton/ Button any time soon) and Renault. Anyone else is either too far off the pace or will play team orders too heavily.

nah lap or so before Mark was screaming into the radio about the rears going off in a big way. He wanted to pit to change tyres straight away. I guess he might have done better if he pitted on the safety car but hell who would have thought that his tyres would go off so fast (since he's known for being soft on tyres and the car) or that there wouldn't be another safety car to bunch the field up. Seemed to be very very low attrition for a season finale.

                    You think?

Um, that is what actually happened.

Well it wasnt "stupid" - they did the right thing, assuming the top 3 would get maybe another 2 or 3 laps from the tyres.. not 32 like Jenson.

And thats why those tyres are a joke - soft tyres should be like the sprint tyres here in V8's - mega for 5 laps, decent for another 10, then start dropping time like a rock in water.

um, didnt he hit a wall with a rear right tyre?

i thought thats why the y pulled him in?

Webber was pulled in because of issues with his tyres and the fact that he was going no where fast in his current position. IMHO RBR did the right thing in trying to mix up his strategy and try to get him in clear air. Holding position wasn't going to win him the title. He had to get up further.

As for his position next year, realistically he has to stay at RBR. They are the most consistent team over the past few years. Look at the form of McLaren and Ferrari. They have been hot and cold for periods over the past couple of seasons. RBR have been consistently fast.

As for Ferrari, why would they look for someone as old as Webber?

Anyone tipping Kimi to make a comeback? Rumour has it as Webber's replacement!
