    As per Trems comments.

If anything, this year is a clear example why no team orders will be placed next year. Seriously, in all the BS that has gone in RBR, the only smidget of proof that exists where you can say that Webber was a #2 driver was at Silverstone. And it is miles from concrete evidence as that was a unique situation of 1 part, 2 cars. Sure Vettel is the golden child and may be liked more by the big wigs of RBR, but I will bet my left nut that both will get equal cars next year.

Also, yes Vettel will be stronger next year, but there have been some absolute bullet proof moments by Webber this year where he was driving mm perfect.

you have to look at it like this... Webber, Alonso and Hamilton came within a bees dick of the WDC

there's no reason why he can't do it again

there are some tracks he's not suited to... that's fine... but it would not take much like a more careful approach to tracks like Korea and Spain to make stuff like Abu Dhabi less painful

You cunts have very short memories...it was only a couple of months ago when Webber was nigh-on untouchable - he was dominating Vettel & Alonso was nowhere. Shit changes quickly & anything can happen.
For sure, he was mid season.

Just finished watching the BBC Pre-race show. Sterling Moss and Murray Walker both had some very kind things to say about Mark Webber and both wanted him to win.

to look at it another way,

Webber led 3 WDC's and one multiple WDC, for most of the season, you don't do that with luck.

The closing credits of this weeks forum were fantastic. I'm pumped for 2011 already.

I wonder what Pirelli will mean for the championship next year. I guess the team that really gets on top of the new tyres will go awesomely well.

Anyone know if RBR has confirmed KERS for their car next year?

I thing the SV win strategy started a long ways back....
How many of you rememer Canada, after the shenanigans at Turkey.
Webber put the car on pole, ahead of wookie. Suddenly he had a (non-existant) gearbox problem, so they replaced it, giving him a 5 spot penalty.
Basically put MW in his place..don't outpole our boy, even though he's allowed to run you off the road...

First of all, I agree with those that have said Vettel deserves the win - he does. He won the most races, scored the most podiums, the most pole positions, and led the greatest number of laps all year.

A question though - how many races did Vettel win where he didn't start from pole? Overtaking doesn't seem to be his strong suit - witness his efforts against Webber in Turkey and against Button in Spa (? - can't remember exactly). In both cases he managed to cause a spectacular accident.

Having said that, neither Alonso or Webber seemed able to overtake anyone at all last night so maybe it's a general problem with modern F1. Is it fair to say the only driver who is a gun at overtaking at the moment is Kobayashi (and maybe then only because he tries crazy moves which sometimes work out)?

I suspect Ferrari will have one hell of a car next season. The improvement in the second half of the season was pretty dramatic and Alonso didn't make too many mistakes during the year. If that development work produces results for 2011 they will be hard to beat.

Finally, the circuits. The only ones that were memorable for me this year were Monaco (because it's Monaco), Istanbul (because of that epic high speed four-turn complex that the RBR cars aced), Spa, and Monza. What does that say about the rest of the more modern tracks? Hungaroring, Bahrain and Hockenheim were probably the dullest.
