I suspect someone bent my valves today No time to look at the engine for a while, but luckily I don't need to be at the events for the rest of the year because of points. Not having much luck lately so probably best to skip a few events until my luck improves.

Just need to weigh up swapping for a second hand engine and be done with it; or fuck about getting the block decked and putting the spare head on with good valves. Either way the engine needs to come out

Head wind up the front straight was taking about 5km/h out of the top speed, was shifting to 5th a good 100m later. But was able to grab 5th down the back 100m earlier to counter it a little.

Was a pretty small turn out. Not surprising given Jap Nats last weekend. So a 4th run was offered. Matt B also shaved another half second off his PB with new rear tures on. Blardy good effort.

Now a 61.33. The last 3 laps were all under the previous 61.8. Just needs some grip in the front now!

                  Thanks Richard
I plan to fit some new front tyres early next year and get Kenny Graham to have a fiddle with the suspension. The current set up hasn't changed in 6 or so years.

Different Harry. I had 205/50/15 R888s on the rear but they were well past their best after 3 years worth of use.

I now have some second hand 225/45/15 Kumho V700s on there.

First day back in the track today since May. Time attack is run well and I managed to do 45 laps with a best of 61.12. Also the first day wearing the HANS device which was interesting.

Does anyone know which helmet standards are allowed at the sprint days at qld raceway, lakeside etc? I'm guessing all the snell standards are ok?

I've never seen them check helmets at the QR run sprints. So any standard you're happy to use will be fine.

As above, any Snell or AS1698 is fine for sprints.
