Out of curiosity, what sort of power does it make?
    Hi TCR

The car is currenty sitting on 255Kw at the wheels but on friday night when we tuned it on the dyno the clutch was slipping so I am putting a new clutch in and increasing the boost as we were loosing 3 psi over the rev range.
At lakeside I got clocked under the bridge at 204KM/H

Thanks for the comments guys, a bit more work to be done on the car and hopefully I can improve on this.

    Cheers Rob

OK, Gools has set the benchmark at 204kph under the bridge at lakeside, what the best speed there you other sprinters have done? Have to work mine out, 5800rpm in fourth gear (1:1) with a 3.9 diff ratio.

I am happy for him to have that one.

GPS data says I'm doing 173km/h at peak G (pink line = LatGx100) under the bridge. My Vmax down front straight is still slower than Rob's speed under the bridge!!! That puts it in perspective...
I don't really trust the G data - never zeros out, but at least the peaks show when you're turning.

heres my min/max speeds from a 57.0 lap that i managed to get decent data from:
                vmax 212.7
                karrussel min 93.7
                peak after bridge 196.2
                hungry min 117.8
                up hill 135.4
                eastern loop min 88
shell 145.2 hard to pick a min speed here but thats a trough after turn-in

Using a calculator and engine revs for what it's worth, max under the bridge ~170kph, ~210 kph through the kink.

Your peak speeds are obviously up on mine, mid corner speeds are similar, except you seem to get a higher shell corner apex than I do, but that could be because I'm still accelerating through the corner from eastern loop. I'll usually get 135, 140 on a fast one. That explains 1.5s of the lap difference right there (using maths with some rounding and assumptions). Add in the back straight and there is another 1.5s.

interesting Callum. These are my best speeds from Lakeside last month in the final session which was basically dry compared to yours. I was only running 10psi boost because it started off wet and was still damp until the last session, so that's why my top speeds are a few kph slower than normal:

Our corner speeds are very similar in the slower corners, but you smash me in the faster Hungry & Shell where your aero comes in to play, and your weight and diff ratio give you about 10kph on my normal top speeds (normaly around 203 and 183). You must get a monumental exit from Eastern Loop, because I only roll off the throttle a little to turn into Shell but I'm a full 10kph down there too!

Interesting stuff. Shows how much I have to learn about my car and the track to get my corner speeds & times decent. According to an online calc, 7000rpm past the start finish line corresponds to ~204km/h if I have the 0.87 5th or ~214km/h if I have the 0.83 5th. Not sure which 5th ratio I have though.

either way that's quick in a straight line Guido - I don't reach that speed till after the kink.

Just need some more rubber under it and a metric shitload more seat time then.

That is damm quick for a three box no aero car Sam, if you are going through the kink flat then balls are not a problem. Which are a prerequisite for fast times at Lakeside

What GPS gear are you guys using to record those speeds & so on?
I don't have a speedo in the racer (nor a tacho either) so I don't really know how fast I'm going .... I can only guess and that's not very accurate.

E.g I think I'm doing something like 170 km/h exiting the last corner on the main straight as I run out of 4th gear there.
