Yeah I like to be different lol!

I've always liked the zeds, and plenty of aftermarket bolt ons for them cheap out of the US, so shouldn't cost a fortune to build.

My fuel and tyre bill will double compared to the FTO though lol

One was built down in Vic many years ago, went like stink, but was marginal with the cooling.

There was also an ex GTP Nations Cup car advertised about 2 years ago for very cheap down mexico way as well, not sure what happened to that one.

Yeah there's a few floating around, none being actual circuit raced though afaik, other than one in Sports Sedans I think.

Won't be outright competitive, way too heavy, but should be fun and hopefully will get me somewhere towards mid field.

            And they look hot!

There were 2 sports sedans IIRC, Keith Carling's VG30DETT engined one, which had a reputed up to 1200hp depending on how far the boost was wound up and Kerry Bailey's, could have been the same car, had a Chev engine in it.

There's plenty of weight to come out of them if you build it to 2B reg's, I looked at building one in the early 2000's but houses and other stuff got in the way so I kept plugging away with my old 240 as well as having an extended break from racing, now trying to build an S14, but stuff like no work or too much work gets in the way.

Both the S14 and the Z should be good fun in either prod sport series.

A Datsun 280ZXT, T for turbo, would be a good thing, particularly the two seat version. Depends on what opposition is around of course and where they would fit in but they are only fractionally heavier than a 260Z and the 2.8 engine is a very useful donk.

From FB, QR making more friends......

                      Shifting Focus
"To clients and friends, it is unfortunate to advise that it is no longer possible for Shifting Focus to provide photographic support or products from any Queensland Raceways event. Queensland Raceways management has decided to apply a “Photographers Fee” on Shifting Focus to be paid prior to any event. This action has made it impossible for Shifting Focus to participate in and provide category/club support from any future Queensland Raceways activities."

                      and one of his responses:

                      Shifting Focus
"Qld Raceways have singled me out by imposing a shooting of $250 per event after they alleged I broke their "photographers" understanding. That "understanding" has never been provided to me in writing or verbally. Nor do any other photographers I have spoken with who shoot QR events know of a "photographers understanding". QR allege I sold images to one of their sponsors which they say I should have provided at no cost."

                            What a cunt act.

I wonder as a lessee if he can actually ban an individual from either circuit. I was told he threatened to have me removed by security if I turned up to Lakeside on the 5th of May. Needless to say I didn't try my luck. I am however going up there on Saturday, so it should be interesting.

                              Troublemaker.....

So it's Formula Vee, Shifting Focus and Cal not welcome at QR or Lakeside events now??????

Bit hard to run a race track if the leasee keeps banning or shutting out their customers.
