EDIT: Looking through the data, it looks like Webber lost out massively in the last stint. Best he could have gotten last night would have been 4th, but Grosjean was awesome in his last stint.
At the tail end of the second stint Webber was dropping 3 seconds a lap to Vettel. Reading the post race comments seems Torro Rosso will be pulling down Ricciardo's car as they are perplexed by it's lack of pace in the race.
Feel bad for Roseburger, from pole to nowhere, and beaten by his team mate....
+1. Was reading that in the latter part of the race, Hamiltons car came alive with pace. Surely this is the tyres coupled with a weird situation like fuel load and car setup.
Tyres are way too sensitive. Its providing some unpredictable racing, but I'd rather a little more predictability if it means the guys with the true pace are consistently fighting it out rather than those that have circumstantially gotten their tyres to perform.
Webs email this morning confirmed he basically pushed so hard on the second stint to jump other cars, and then had to pit earlier meaning the tyres went off at the end.

I think Grosjean's car did better as he got into clear air. 1st half of the race he was in traffic most of the time. I get the feeling if they could qualify and get off the start better, they'd be fighting for the lead more.

he was almost too aggressive at the beginning, but once he was in front he didn't have to fight, just stay consistent...
That's where he & the car are at their best. The car is designed to lead from lights to flag - it's brilliant in clean air - and Seb is very good at controlling a race. So if he can muscle his way into the lead at the start they're likely to be very strong.
For want not to sound like a negative cunt, im fucking sick of this bullshit with tyres, DRS and so forth. I must admit, at first I enjoyed the racing that these two fixed factors injected into the sport, but after 2 seasons i've had enough and am starting to see it for what it really is - false entertainment. In what was such a shit race for both Aussies, the F1 fan in me should have found consolation in the fact it was still a great race with lots of great passing etc etc. But was it? Did we really see the quickest drivers racing each other for the higher position? No. Instead we see Kimi again in P2 because he stopped less than the other cars. BORING. I can appreciate that a race isnt won in a single lap and there needs to be management of some form at various stages, but its become ridiculous and now tyre management is the single most important aspect to winning a race. Being quick comes second to that and it shouldnt have to.
Could they not use the finishing spots of the race as the order in which Wookie has to face all challengers in a cage match? I'm sure he could kick arse until Mark stepped up, then Webs finishes everyone else off to take the win.
