I don't think his KERS was busted. There was no radio chatter about it.

Just watching Sky Forum, Webber didn't mention it in his post race interview. He did say his rears were shot. Ah well it was good racing while it lasted...Originally posted by willsy01 View PostI don't think his KERS was busted. There was no radio chatter about it.

It was a good race. The battle between Mark & Lewis was fantastic. Sounds like Mark just pushed too hard in the second stint & ran out of tyres at the end.
Alonso has been unlucky, I think he would have won today without those issues. His luck will turn - he's a freak.
Drive of the day to Kimi for me.

I'd say Webber's tyres just went off the last lap.
It would have been good to see Alonso working his way back through the field though. Perez and Button fighting it out was a good watch. Drive of the day would have to be Gosjean, just because he made more places than Kimi. Both Renaults had good race pace.My car

Yeah I would have thought Vettel would have won regardless of what happened to Alonso. He was all over the back of Rosberg almost immediately after the start, and created a massive gap after the pass. I'm trying to figure out where the massive difference in pace was between Vettel and Webber. Is he really THAT much better than Webber?Originally posted by XXX19XShitbreak is the epitome of perfection.

There was plenty of laps where Webber had free air, but never capitalized. I had my eye on him on the live timing, especially at the latter part of the race, and he had like a 10 second cap ahead of him.Originally posted by 1uzusee View PostThey said clear air was really favourable on that track and the only person who really ever got any was Vettel.
Pretty disappointing. But Webber hadn't shown much in way of pace all weekend. Pretty disappointing effort. And now Vettel has double as many points in the WDC. EDIT: although a DNF would do that.....Originally posted by XXX19XShitbreak is the epitome of perfection.

My guess is that Vettel uses and manages his tyres much better than Mark does and that was the crucial difference. After Mark stated setting fastest times on new tyres Brundle commented that perhaps he should save a bit for later, as the pit stops indicate, Vettel was getting more useful life out of his tyres.

I haven't spoken to everyone in the pit lane but we never really got to see the Fezza's pace. Plus Alonso seems to be planning 15 steps ahead so I'm sure he'd have come into play later on in the race.Originally posted by BeverlyHillsCop View Post
everyone down the pitlane seemed to agree that nobody was gonna touch vettel in the race.... ???

I think that single word in your paragraph sums it up. Not only does Vettel manage to make his tyres last longer, but he was setting lap times in another league to Webber.Originally posted by Uncle Arthur View PostMy guess is that Vettel uses and manages his tyres much better than Mark does and that was the crucial difference. Does anyone know where to get that graph which shows all the drivers and their progress during the race in terms of placings?Originally posted by XXX19XShitbreak is the epitome of perfection.
