Relatively Webber did a better job than Vettel that race. Webber gained 2 places, by the Mercs dropping off. But Vettel lost 2 places, even with the Mercs dropping off. There was only about 10s between them at the end. So it wasn't a bad race by Webber in all. It's one race of many, and Vettel has the pace over him either way.
good recovery by webber but probably really shows that RB stuffed up by putting seb on 3 instead of 4 stops - he might have been 10 or 15 seconds further up the orad at the end and been all over massa
Could you point out where he says Webber is past his best?
.
And Horner only added further spice to the rumours when he claimed Webber 'is in the autumn of his career and no longer in the spring' in German newspaper Welt am Sonntag on Sunday.
I like how somehow a set of rears going off too quick in qualifying is definite proof to some muppets that Webber is no good. There is almost nothing that the driver can do wrong in two laps to fuck a set of tyres. This sport is an engineering challenge in the most part and when the engineers get it wrong the driver looks like a dope.
I read the autumn of his career comment as meaning he's closer to the end than he is the beginning (different from "he's past it"). Which is an obvious and benign comment.
