meh, people are obviously going to blame whoever they want, but one thing is for certain, Homo learnt a lesson today: you can't just drive around with this attitude "for Lewis, it was clearly not him who needed to be aware of Nico," said Wolff." Because you're the most vulnerable one if your rear tyre makes contact with the other blokes wing... You kinda do need to be aware of it, I'd say. It would have cost nothing to leave another foot or two of room at that point and he would have carried on totally unharmed.

I think if it were as simple as backing off the wing a little bit then red bull would have been doing it years ago as they have always suffered at Spa. But to see, this year, a RB outpace a merc behind them with their DRS open is unheard of. They have definitely found an area of improvement that has given them a major boost in the top end.this signature intentionally left blank

If Massa was not involved in any incident then I'm not interested in arguing about it :D Bloody good race anyway, RB as a team are very impressive, running rings around the rest in that context, Merc just happen to have the most powerful engine.Richard's DatsunZ lappin LakesidZ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47OSh...&feature=g-upl

They're both at fault IMOOriginally posted by hrd View Postmeh, people are obviously going to blame whoever they want, but one thing is for certain, Homo learnt a lesson today: you can't just drive around with this attitude "for Lewis, it was clearly not him who needed to be aware of Nico," said Wolff." Nico shouldn't have put his car there, Hamilton should have been aware of the fact he was.
If anyone was proving a point it was Hammo slamming the door on Nico - sure he might have been within his rights to stick to the racing line, but look where that got him

You never saw the snippet with Webber?Originally posted by Shell View PostFknlol! I did not know about any of this!
It was from when they were together at Williams, they were giving pit priory to nico, webber wasn't happy.
He was told to pit after nico, then he came on the radio saying "I'm coming in this lap now" and again they said, "no, nico this lap"
"britney's in the wall mate"
Pit guys didn't realise what webber did, that nico had just crashed

I think you're right (what am I saying!) in that no other team could do what they did at Spa (and RBR could probably do it at other mixed high speed/technical tracks) but at monza, anyone can do it.Originally posted by 260DET View PostInteresting point. Going on this race result it looks like the RB has a lot of mechanical grip plus they are relying on their drivers to minimumise any rear downforce deficiency. Which seems to be working for Dan a bit better than for Vettel, in race trim anyway. A related point is that the RB aero in total must be still working well and minimumising the drag reducing changes that have been made.
For any of the others to make this strategy work they have to get the whole package right like RB appear to have done. Not as easy as just changing a rear wing.
Doesn't mean RBR won't be better through monza's (limited) curves, but all the others that were close to RBR on the straight at Spa (Merc were only 5km/h off with a proper rear wing) will monster them at Monza.
Expect to see another 20-40km/h over Spa top speeds of 320-330km/h

Also did anyone else notice how prominent the Renault Sport guys were near the celebrations with Red Bull and the RBR Crew were pointing at them suggesting a job well done. Relations between them seem to be improving considering the harsh words in prior interviews. Whatever they have developed in terms of the ERS defense/overtake boost seems to be working damn well in conjunction with the smaller wing.If in doubt power out

Ypu notice that Toto didn't blame anyone in particular, just said effectively "number 1 rule, don't crash into each other - ESPECIALLY - on lap 2 FFS....!"

I don't think they have developed anything special.Originally posted by Rona View PostWhatever they have developed in terms of the ERS defense/overtake boost seems to be working damn well in conjunction with the smaller wing.
They have chopped their rear wing off completely and they were only *just* faster than Mercedes in a straight line with a pretty normal wing which means reasonably equal lap times at this track.
It also meant that their DRS did fuck all. Any over taking on the straight was from pure slipstream tow, not DRS.

I think they have done some work with the ERS system, previously they've had a few bugs with it ie Vettel in Austria. They seem to have sorted this now which combined with the low aero wing has given them a fighting chance. Rosberg couldn't pass Vettel even with DRS, that's a bit more than just a wing.If in doubt power out

merc with DRS which in theory should give less drag than what even RBR were using still couldnt pass them when RBR had no DRS..im a cunt
and apparently i dont know shit...
