Unfortunately, there just isn't that many opportunities for such a thing to happen. Barbagallo has a much high tyre wear than anywhere else on the circuit (except for that one year at Winton...2014?), but it was the wet start that made Lowndes move possible. If it was dry the whole way through, everyone would have stopped around the halfway point, meaning that they wouldn't have fallen of the cliff as they did at the end.

Still, great race. Encouraging the see proper battles happening throughout.

Yeah true, with the move away from the current rules with COTF gen2 will introduce some potential differences between the models but will the teams accept this tho a certain degree or argue for parity across power/fuel usage/aero/suspension.

Nah, I read it as $40p/m not annual. I'd still probably not get it though, mostly because I don't give enough of a fuck.

I think this is the biggest factor in the decline of the category. The fanbase of this sport has ALWAYS been at the lower end of the socioeconomic spectrum, not being able to see the rounds on FTA means advertisers and sponsors are losing out on the vast fucking majority of the traditional viewers.

Television is just losing its relevancy generally speaking. Give me access to each round over a live stream for $10 a month and I'll be all over it. I am not going to watch it on T.V for free, I am certainly not going to pay $50 a month for the privileged!

Hmm the poorer folk I know all have Foxtel. It's kinda weird but people I know with coin don't really watch it and those without money watch it and have Foxtel, but not because of V8SC's.

I still think FTA TV has a relevance in Australia. Foxtel is dead and the likes of Netflix will run over the Murdoch train like it's a Skoda Fabia on the tracks.

What will take off. Nettflix but with sport, betting ticker tape at the bottom of the screen. Big coin if someone can get a few major sports on board.

Back on topic. I haven't watched a round in full this year. Even the late night re runs I'm in and out with the advertising every where it's hard to watch. I think NASCAR have it much better done than V8SC's beoadcasts.

i know that, just stating that incase some one tries and cant get it. I sent them a email enquiring about it, told them i travel overseas a lot for work and would it be a issue if my Australian issued credit card was used, no reply so far

Great racing, loved all the battles and constant passing, but the fuel drop system is a bit contrived and hard to follow IMO. Had to chuckle at the commentators even admitting as such, effectively saying that there's no certain way of knowing what's happening until the very end. The on track product is great, but I think it's a bit off if part way through the race, you aren't able to tell if you driver is having a good race or a bad one....
