Another Win for Nick Percat, and BJR Glad to see someone other than the DJRTP and RBR boys winning almost everything

It will be interesting to see who has saved the best tyres for race 3. Heimgartner starting from pole, so I hope he can drag the Mustang to a good result in the race

Despite the Covid mess, this 3 race on mixed tyres has been great.

Mixed up the results well and truly.

I was hesitant at first, but that's some of the best racing I've seen for years.

Fancy the scrap between Hazelwood, Reynolds etc, with Jack Lebrocq up ahead taking first. Crazy stuff.

Add Super 2 and 3 to one that mega field and watch the mayhem unfold.

Though, seeing Super 3 cars blow some of the Super 2's away makes it instantly evident why they don't allow classes to race together, regularly. Somewhat embarrassing.

Agreed. That and the fact they can't access data from the car until Monday after the event is a great move. Puts more onus on the driver for car setup.

Its been nothing short of brilliant since the changes.

Cant wait for Darwin's double triple header

P.S SO happy for Brad Jones!!! WIth the amount of time, money and effort he puts into the sport, he deserves these wins, and Nick Percat too.

What was that which Brad let slip that the next round could potentially be SMSP again?

Hardly think they'll be allowed the Darwin travel, tbh.

I dunno. I preferred the last round.
Sure the last few laps were awesome racing but getting to that point it was all a bit silly.

I dont really follow the series, but I flicked it on the other night. Bloody hell they look good under lights.

Big fan of the no telemetry rule and the racing has been great fun. Not the tyre games though, just shows the cars have a fundamental issue.

Agree with the comments re the tyre bank thing being a bit of a joke. Great to see JLB win a race and different faces up the front, but not so great when you realise that the reason the usual suspects didn't win the race is because they weren't trying to. Mind you this also comes down to the "individual races vs overall round" thing. If we give out a trophy for whoever scores the most points over the weekend, then bring on the tyre limits and whatever they want to do there. But if each race is it's own race in isolation, then it should be a clean slate for each one.

I wonder if the $5000 bonus to the toughest racer of the weekend will cause any door handles to require a repaint before they get to The Bend?

                          Great idea

Great marketing, and interesting to hear that there is not prizemoney for drivers. Would be interesting to see if there is any varying performances. A reasonable runner having a poor qualy would be the biggest chance of taking home the coin.

I think it’s a bit of a gimmick, and to say that drivers aren’t pushing hard is a bit off in my opinion. They have their eye on the big prize, finishing as high as possible in the championship. If that means not taking as many risks in a certain race vs DNF’ing regularly then that’s what it is. I don’t think $5k is gonna change anything. If it was $5m and bonus championship points for the most positions gained in a race or something then perhaps that’ll mix it up.
