With the announcement of Luke Youlden joining Carrera Cup in 2021, watch for some more ex-Fulltime Supercars drivers entering next year to keep themselves sharp.....Fabs was almost there til the Team Sydney deal fell into place.

LeBroq will move into the truck assist car (as its really his backing) Randle will move into the old supercheap car with Skye Sands backing. Lee will unfortunately lose his ride.

Castrol is Ricks personal backer not Kelly Racing. Penrite walks with Reynolds into that seat and word is Castrol will be on Browns car. Kostecki gets the other Erebus seat.

It's a bit like the Holden fans hate for Jamie, I don't get it.

Its her personality. She comes across as a bit all style and no substance e.g a bimbo with no real understanding or passion for the sport.

I don’t get the hate for JW either. Especially those who take it to the next level. There’s Facebook groups devoted to hating on him. WTF. And Supercars wonder why manufacturers such as Kia or BMW don’t want to get into the sport. Have a look at how fans act on social media and there’s one reason right there.

I am not JW's biggest fan personally, but he's always friendly to chat to etc and no denying his ability to drive.
Being a Kate Peck fan is up there with being a Supercar Blondie fan personally. But each to their own.

Randle is the real deal. Good steerer. Good bloke. Sponsor friendly. A good signing for anyone.
That said, Lee Holdsy has had a great couple of years at Tickford, and certainly doesn't deserve to get shafted like he has been at such a late stage.....but, business is business.

I get the importance of the whole REC thing, but I can't help but feel it's lost the original intention when frontline drivers / teams are priced out of the sport by the Blanchards and Smiths of the world. The point was to get rid of the weekend warriors and make the field all-Pro.....not the other way around.

It was to make the teams pro, not the drivers.

Plenty of teams only running on the whim of a rich persons pocket.

I like the idea of a team making some money out of an REC but not a fan of the teams being able to block new entrants who want to purchase an REC that Supercars have sitting on the shelf. Car count is at 24. If suitable entrants want to get that up to 28-30 I don’t see the problem with that. Sure it’ll dilute individual earnings but will add to the sport as a whole through bringing in new teams and sponsors. Teams shouldn’t have any say in this aspect because all they care about it their bottom line and not the health of the sport overall.

He has acted like a bit of a psycho in the past, delivery ultimatums to 'do what he wants otherwise I walk' re: Rodgers Motorsport. Who knows what the detail is but I doubt Supercars would tell him to piss off without a good reason and alot of support from others in the paddock.
