I cant see them going for someone that isn't going to be a strong contender. Lets be honest. Any young guy even in Whincups car is going to be in the bottom half of the field apart from maybe Randle. He would be the best option out of the lot. I reckon he could be a consistent top 10 runner for most of the season in the 88. Feeney will run around in 12th to 15th IMHO with a few top 10s. Thats going to put a huge risk on the teams championship which 888 highly covet even if SVG wins the championship.
I reckon Tander for a year would be a good option. Give Feeney another full year in Super 2 and then get him in the 88 car. Tander is still sharp as fuck and would run that car around in the top 10 no problems at all. If they desperately want to put a young guy in the seat for 2022 Randle is the go.

Red Bulls junior driver program isnt too full at the moment, as the signing of Sergio Perez proved, but Jack would still have 2 or 3 more seasons in F3 and F2 before that could potentially be a reality, so time is still on his side. Hopefully Red Bull bank roll him for another season in F3 so he has a chance to prove hes worth the investment that comes with stepping up to F2.
The cost of doing this these days seems to be the biggest stumbling block for anybody not lucky enough to be part of a young driver program, or the son of a billionaire, as Jean Alesi stated recently, so the FIA really needs to focus on bringing the costs down for their so called feeder series, so it doesnt become nothing more than a playground for the fortunate sons, rather than a proving ground for those with talent.
But I'm sure he still has his AU Wagon on gas......
Couldn’t bear to part with it..
I see Supercars has dropped a ton of full races into their YouTube channel today. Apparently the aim is to have most races from 97 to present uploaded by the end of year. Good move by the series.
Sutherland Shires #1 Escort? is that like being the 4th best prostitute in Kazahkstan?
Surprised to see Garth only get 5% of the vote tbh, and even more surprised to see Earl Bamber in second place!!!
As an aside, I used to be able to view and vote on all of their polls, but lately over the past couple of months, I can no longer do either as when I click on the poll, it simply sends me to the Pirtek website? Any ideas if you need to be registered with Speedcafe now to access the polls?
