Bright's probably been suited as an enduro fill in for a while now.

I sorta agree with that, but Fabs outclassed him in the same gear when he was still with BJR. I think there'll be a lot of interest from top teams come endurance time given his experience. Be interesting to see if he stays loyal to BJR.

I agree I feel old Brighty is a little passed it. He does have a lot of crashes no matter what he drives.
I also think Scotty Pye has out paced Fabs most of the year.

When was Bright seriously a contender? Back in the HRT days when he was driving with Skaife. Did really see him take over from Skaife in HRT or progress in any other team.

2016 V8 Supercar season - discussion thread

Bright would be good enduro driver, you could put him in a car alongside a faster driver who would provide the pace and Bright the stable pair of hands who hands the car back at end of stint in good nick.

He does own an REC so maybe he takes that elsewhere, I believe it's being used to run Tim Blanchard this year so if he takes that then Blanchard it out of a ride.

Only thing Wood has been good at this season, has been running into his team mates and destroying cars... I guess he knew he was out next year before the NZ round hence his car destroying and smashing into his team mates during the weekend...

He probably didn't know he was on the outer and was just doing what he always does. At least the team won't have to spend so much time making spare body parts now that Woods gone. Given SdS background I'm prepared to cut her a fair amount of slack because a Supercar is so much different then any open wheeler she's driven before. I'll wait until 2018 before I make any judgement on her skills.

I'd rather see her in an Indycar though.

Simona's going to have a really rough character building first year. Will be interesting to see if she sticks it out for the full 3 years. Not like Stoner, i reckon he left too soon only doing the single season of DVS and packing it in.
