AFAIK only because Dick and Steve are very close with PACE. But everyone (V8SC) is so fast and loose with the rules. All were meant to be done that way originally. Then teams started doing their own. Then apparently there were even other suppliers, which removed PACE entirely. Of that I am unsure however. But V8SC bend anything to suit when it suits them and the big players.

I think they’ll do better then the other wildcard. Broc Feeney will no doubt be fast and I see him being far stronger then Ingall. Good to see Ingall back but Murphs done a bit more racing then him in retirement. There’s no pressure on Stanaway unlike his last drive in Supercars so he should be able to just get in the car and drive.

That's my biggest beef with Ingall's return.

Broc is fast, and I'd want to see him with someone who will give him a fighting chance, especially in that car. It's honestly not fair to the kid.

The Dude would even be racier. And like Murph, steers semi - often enough to still be near or even on the pace.

Lol, you should see the welding elitism that goes on around the desert racing scene. Guys like Ryan Kibbe going on about double pass TIG and claiming he doesn't know what a MIG welder looks liket etc. Fair enough for the stuff he builds but when you've got guys only using a TIG to weld up stuff on $200 Toyotas it's pretty funny,

First Class Welders gonna First Class. Lol.

Would you believe I'm actually so low on the spectrum that I don't even qualify to the depths that some actually discuss?

'Torch angle correct but dick bending to the wrong side. Did you even fondle?"

"QANTAS 747 passed 55,000 feet over head and caused a slight 0.3729 crosswind zephyr to weld pool. Must be broken and re-done."

The issue was not about the chassis being mig/tig welded, it's the fact the chassis from PACE that was put out to the media was a bunch of tack welds.

Good to see. Walkinshaw look like they're on the up with him onboard.

It must be that time of the year...time for another TKR Bathurst announcement! If BJR are actually involved in this (doubt it) they would be wise to be paid in full and up front..

Team Kiwi Racing is targeting a surprise return to the Supercars grid with a wildcard effort in this year’s Repco Bathurst 1000.

Team owner David John has confirmed to Speedcafe.com he has an agreement in place with Brad Jones Racing to run a wildcard in this year’s Great Race.

That would see a combined effort between TKR and BJR to field a Holden ZB Commodore, taking the Albury-based squad to five cars in the famed endurance event.

Rumours of a BJR wildcard have swirled the Supercars paddock for months, though the team has deflected such suggestions recently.

Speedcafe.com understands a wildcard entry has been submitted by BJR for the Bathurst 1000.

I was stoked to read that article about TKR possibly stepping back into the ring

I was also surprised to discover that Superbikes are on the support card this weekend....I love bikes but never thought that Darwin was a circuit that lends itself to good/safe bike racing

Looking forward to seeing who can win the Triple Crown this weekend

                      Go SVG!!!!

Tickford just announced Thomas Randle as their 4th driver in 2022

The lad has been through a lot, and deserves this shot at the main game...I wish him the best of luck

                          Agree. Happy for him.

Disappointed that MSR didn't get a REC. I think 26 cars is a better number than 25 for the series.

Yep...the whole REC tender but maybe not sell process makes my head spin too

I watched the live telecast of the drag racing from Darwin on Foxtel last night and thoroughly enjoyed it.

For some reason I've had lost touch a bit with drag racing but the feeling is back.

An excellent idea to run supercars, superbikes and drag racing all on the same weekend..

                                Fully agree mate

The drag racing wasnt broadcast on tv over here, but thankfully, my years of relying on (il)legal streams did me well, and thankfully I managed to find one. It was a great watch. Earlier in the day, the Wild Kiwi did a start up in the pits for the fans to hear, and you could see the reaction on lots of faces that this was something that they needed to stay behind to watch later that day

Have a variety of disciplines surely must drag in more of a crowd to your average event, which can only be a good thing
