Looks like Zane Goddard is gone from MSR for next year. Do they take Middy's money perhaps? Or will BJR scramble for it?
I hope BJR see the fuckin light and keep Hazelwood. Good with sponsors, good with fans, can steer.

Can’t see Hazelwood staying in Albury unfortunately. Heimgartner and Smith are locked in. And I’d be shocked if Macauley was set aside. Fullwood is looking for a seat and that Middya money has to be worth more then what Hazelwood brings. Maybe back at MSR? Goddard going to Tickford is a blessing in disguise because it opens up a seat for him there.

Matty Campbell replaces Bamber at Bathurst with Heimgartner at KGR. That’s a dark horse pairing right there.

I'll be backing them. Time for redemption after his struggles with T8 in the wet last time.

Dunno what Heimgartner sees in BJR.

Would've been better off where he was in the long run.

Kgr simply can't give them the car.

Agree. Barring major incidents and retirements I think a podium would be an overachievement for that car, with a back half of the top ten being more realistic due to the drivers dragging the performance out of the car.

I don't know if it's right to blame the current formula (for needing to extract the absolute nth degree of performance from the car due to everyone being "identical") or if it's always been like that, but it's disappointing that a lineup such as that will never really be in contention.

Unrelated post, but how bout that MARC GT unveiled yesterday?
                  https://www.speedcafe.com/2021/10/15...-new-gt-model/

I'm a big fan of the MARC cars and their concept, but feel they need a proper home. I'll be interested to see the differences between this "GT" and their existing "MARC II", whether it is something of an evolution / natural progression or a completely different level of performance.

The article talks about a series for the MARC cars - which is a great idea that I support in concept - but it needs to have decent grid sizes. You can't run a 2 (or maybe 3?) class race with only 10 cars in it, which is what I worry about them having.
I'd love to see a MARC series with a proper field of 30-40 cars split across 2 classes. We used to have 25+ entrants show up for V8 support categories back in the day. Besides the 86 series it seems those distant memories will remain exactly that. I know it will likely never happen, but still sad about it.

I rate the fuck out of them. The company is in good hands too with a genuine racer, whom also knows what the fans want.

KGR listened to my post and have got a big signing in couchey for 2022!

I guess this means Jess and Cauchi are definitely no longer together :D

I wonder if Andre is regretting his move now? I see Cauchi has being a big lift for KGR. Grovey's not stupid, he knows he needs good people to steer the ship.

Looking like Hazelwood will link back up with MSR - I hope he flogs the BJR cars if that's the case.

Same deal as KGR really - can MSR deliver anything resembling a good car?

Hopefully so now that it’s confirmed that he’ll be back there. I’d like to think that with Grove taking over KGR and hiring people like Cauchi etc that the team might see their full potential. Having to develop the Altima didn’t help but they were underwhelming even before then with the Commodore. They had all the money and resources but it really never came together except for the odd win here and there. Hiring Heimgartner helped but he’s out at the end of the year.
