I think that was only applicable in the Saturday sprint races.

I didn't watch any of the supports, but loosely followed on Natsoft. Thin fields in categories that don't really interest me, but it does make me wonder about what it's like to be a competitor on a local V8 support (as in, not a national category). When the foxtel deal was announced with full coverage of all the support racing, I thought that every man and his dog would have been trying to get on the card. But it turns out that the coverage of those races has been pretty ordinary, showing the first 3 cars or so almost exclusively and perhaps entry costs are too high to make the track time good value? (I'm talking about races like the IPRA supports at EC and Hidden Valley, the combined sports category that was at QR and Symmons Plains last year).

Yeah agree, i prefer the supports to the main V8SC's. Carerra Cup, AGT, aussie race cars are all great categories to watch.
The SportGTs they had last year at Tassie were good to watch too. This year the Utes and HQs were the support highlights yawn... At least the V8 races were good viewing, hating being SVG hitting that oil lol.

That moment when you realize that Sim Racing can be just as exciting as the real thing.

Slightly OT. Not sure if anybody else is following Scott McLaughlans run in the STCC this weekend. Qualified P2 and P4 and came P2 in the first race breaking the lap record catching his former V8 team mate Dahlgren. 2nd race on at 23:50 AEST tonight. Very small field of cars in the series (10) or maybe just this round and crazy hairpin at end of an airport runway http://www.svtplay.se/video/7493444/...cc-1-maj-12-30?
