Let's go out & protest something that will pour much needed money into the local economy. Newcastle hasn't had an attraction since the Pasha Bulker ran aground in 07. People came from everywhere to see that & it was so good businesses were wondering how they could keep it there. Fuck these whinging idiots. A bit of inconvenience, a bit of noise, & a tonne of money for local businesses. I hope it is a huge success for both Supercars & Newcastle.

And no, I'm not from Newcastle, but I do a lot of business there & have a branch of the company I work for based there & very few are doing it easy.

Now the frontrunner for Datsun seems to be Heimgartner. Le Brocq to Tekno. Wilbur to 23Red, Stanaway to PRA, Hazelwood to Bright's REC. Garry Jacobson seems left out in the cold for a Main Game drive at this stage and probably partner Stanaway in the Enduros.

Reynolds comments were gold. He is great for the sport. The Gis has become a bit of a punting machine, he has punted a couple of people off like that and been penalised this season. It is good that he goes for the passes (VPower boys just sat behind him and didn't) but he clearly needs to be a bit more patient.
I had no idea there were "podium bonuses" or whatever Reynolds was talking about so can see why the smaller teams would be pissed at being punted off.

Spent a couple of days out there.

GA is pretty good for a street circuit, plenty of good spots but those good spots were bloody jam packed. It was very busy.

The TV also does a really shitty job of conveying how wild the ride down to turn 11 really is. The cars get damn near airborne twice on the approach and then tip it into the braking zone bottomed out in a massive compression. Bloody awesome to watch.

Not bad for a shot through the catch fence but this gives you an idea, it must feel like getting punched in the guts every lap.
