Not competitive first few goes out, want to see if I like it. Will be doing it with my old man, gonna swap driver and co driver between stages to see how we go haha.
I think the category I wanted has a 140kph speed limit which honestly will be fine given some of the roads?
Thinking to do it in 911 or pick up a cheap gt86, both cars being light on consumables (hate to think what the 32gtr would cost to run a course)

It'll be the Buchan -Orbost road and maybe a couple of others. Not a bad road for a Targa type stage. We did it in teh Alpine rally a couple of times
Looking for 86 GSXR bits. PM me

Is a cage needed for the 140 limited category?

No idea, potentially not- will have a closer check of the rules

I like that the rules are a little more open and a one size fits all. Pretty much sits at Modified Specification (highest) for Targa. So provided it's from the same family of motors, still carb'd (if it were from factory) and atmo, the rules are pretty open. Of course that means you'd get spanked by the experienced guys who have built the cars to the extent of the rules, it also means common/cheapish mods are ok. You don't have to spend $$$$ making as much HP out of a smaller motor than what you already have sitting there. Very tempted.

That would have been for the competitive side of things. I just typed in Australian Tarmac Championship supplementary regulations.
