Historics at Eastern Creek this Sunday.

Anyone from PF going out to the creek this weekend? Having never been to Historics event, I kinda don't know what to expect, apart from the obvious. I am hoping to see some Group C or Group A touring cars, as well as some odd Formula type cars...

With historics, Group C is essentially Group A......"Production Touring
Cars with competition histories". If it's the same crowd as the last meet there'll be an old Group A VL, 2 x Gibson Motorsport R31 Skylines, a John Player M3 and such.

For me, Group Nc is the highlight.......Minis, Mustangs and what not. It's a great day.....

I'll be out there, last historic meet I went to there were a few grp A's & C's running, so I'd say there is a pretty good chance of that happening again.

        Yeah, Nc cars are great

            Any Sierras

Not sure if they are going to make an appearance. Last time I went Glen Setons old Sierra was going around (belting just about everything in its class). The Group Ns will be there, so Tilleys Mustang and XY GTHO (definately worth watching) should be going around as well as the mini's, EH's etc. Unfortunately my mate wont be racing but a couple of other Canberra EH's will be there. :worship:

We took the EH out to Wakefield on Monday and went for a spin in the old girl. It hadnt been out for some time yet was lapping consistently in the 1:15s, not bad for a old 186, 4 wheel drum brakes and 3 on the tree!

I will be up in Sydney so might just pop in

Thanks for the info guys, sounds like heaps of fun to watch, I imagine some of these old racers are gonna sound really nice down the straight at the creek.

Haven't been to any motorsport action in a while either, so I'm really looking forward to it.

That would be Group A.... :D

Historics are great. I may join the Historic Circus next year if I get my act together.... although in Group Sc....

Our brakes and suspension guru Scotty Fleming (from Rev Doctor Motorsport at Hornsby) will be out there running in a 1600 Lotus Cortina - Group Nb or Nc i think...

He reset the class lap record last time out and is looking to lower the record even further this weekend... I'll probably be out for a look on Sunday...

If any of you spy an overly noisy white EL Falcon in the carpark, don't be afraid to come over and say g'day. Anybody know what time the whole shebang starts? And where would be the best place/s to see the action?
