Looks like Marquez has come good. Seemed like he was able to push for the whole race. Could have won if he didn't drop it at the end there or if he did what binder did and stayed out on slicks.
Was a very interesting and chaotic race.

what a gamble - another lap and Binder would have been 8th -swallowed up by those on wets

Yep, bagnaia did well to get back to 2nd another corner or 2 and he would have won. Was a good watch.

Say what? Does that mean no free to air coverage in Australia from next season?
If you dig a hole and it is in the wrong place, digging it deeper isn't going to help.

I am not a religious man, but when the rain started falling and his name started climbing up through the list, and up in to third, I started praying to some unknown God, that somehow, the stars would align and he could get his 200th GP podium.

Sadly, It wasnt to be, but those last few laps were some of the most exciting laps I have ever watched.

Kudos to BB for deciding to roll that dice when all the others dove into the pits...well played indeed.

Pretty epic race, Marquez looking fast in the dry and then the last few laps and associated insanity was great! Watching Binder wobble through that last lap was edge of the seat stuff and great to see the different strategies and gambles going on, not something you always see in MotoGP past the normal tyre choices before the start.

Yep, I think that was always a done deal, and was just waiting to be announced at the right time.

Although, Im sure, after the goings on of the last week. that there is at least some of the management team at Aprilla who are second guessing their choice.

I hope it works out well for both parties and that Maverick can rebuild his tarnished reputation

The question now is will he ride for Yamaha again this year?

                          I would think so/hope so.

I think Yamaha made their point, and Maverick acknowledged and respected their decision, plus apologised, so that should hopefully be enough for both parties to bury the hatchet and end 2021 off as well as possible.

                          Time will tell I guess.

Oh well, it seems that Yamaha have made the decision to keep Maverick on the bench, at least for the British GP, and his place will be taken by Cal Crutchlow.

Jake Dixon will ride alongside Rossi at SRT.

Lol....I did predict Dixon and Crutchlow last week........

[ QUOTE=Mr Ree;n7281794]Yep, its certainly looking like there is almost no chance of Maverick ever riding a Yamaha MotoGP bike again...very sad and unnecessary way for ti to all end.

Even though I understand Jake rides for their Moto2 team, I cant say he has done much this year to earn that privilege, and I wouldnt be surprised if they decide on somebody else, although who, I do not know

Cal will almost certainly be on Mavericks bike, although given its his swan song, I would personally prefer Vale to be given that honour.

                              We shall see...[/QUOTE]
