So since some of us have aquired new rides and so on, and also i couldnt make it for the chrissi bbq, i was thinking of us having a cruise some were.

So far selected date is Sunday March 22th.

Border run to Byron Light house, starts before sunrise, ends around miday.

Sound like a good idea - I would love to come along, but I'll be out of the country in March. Hopefully next time, because it would be good to catch up and put real faces to names etc... as well as catching up with people I haven't seen in ages.

sounds like a plan guys. might i suggest we do the sunrise byron drive?

leave for byron for sunrise at the lighthouse and drive through nthern NSW via lismore, etc and finish up at beaudesert. its an awesome drive, you basically have the road to yourself for the whole morning and your all done by 11am. im sure a BBQ cookup on the way back is do-able or even a feed somewhere.

we do this cruise every year with the datto club and its a great drive!

the drive down to byron at 3/4am south is usually a 'rapid' one :D sunrise is sunrise, bangalow rd to lismore is nice. BP fuel is available in lismore. lismore to kyogle, kyogle to rathdowney (u can go over the mt lindsay hwy or via lyons rd or both ) and then just through to beaudesert.

a mixture of roads, some surfaces are a bit rough, but thats half the fun!
