    1998 Mitsubishi Evolution 5

    Up for sale is my wife's Evo 5.

    1st owner since import 15 months ago.

    Very well looked after.

    Only a couple of tasteful mods which include:

    * HKS Intake

    * Alloy radiator

    * Monster Sport Titanium Heat Sheild

    * Monster Sport Carbon Plug Cover

    * M and W Coil On Plug Kit

    * Turbosmart BOV

    * Catback Japanese exhaust( not stupid loud)

    * 30mm Lowered all round King springs

    * Evo 6 Wing

    * Boot Garnishes

    * Work Emotion Xd7 Wheels

    * Front strut brace

    * Autometer boost guage

    The car is basically how we bought it when it arrived from Japan.

    There are probably more things I have missed!

    It also has a new Xtreme 6 puck heavy duty clutch fitted approximately 2-3000 kms ago and a Walbro 255 fuel pump.

    Japanese Alpine stereo and speakers with radio convertor so you can catch local stations.

    Recaro seats...Momo Steering Wheel...Brembo brakes...all the usual Evo features.

    Only selling due to upgrade to a newer car.

    No stupid offers or swaps.

    This car has not been thrashed or driven into the ground. Its well looked after and this will show in the way it drives and looks.

    Can come with Evo 9 Enkies if you prefer and will come with a few spares for the right price also.

    Email for pics or any further info.

    $13500 or very near offer.

                  Thanks.
                  Hopefully it goes to someone that will continue to look after it.

                    Any key differences (ie not the bodykit) between the 5 and 6?

                      Recaros are different material. And door trim material is different.
                      Other than that its all cosmetic differences.
                      There seems to be less 5s on the market making them a bit more "exclusive" :rotflol:

                        OK. So major mechanicals are the same?

                        I think the 5 was the last limited edition (ie 5000 made) whereas the 6 onwards they sold as many as they could.

                          That looks like a hell of a lot of fun for the $

                          Had I known how fucking long it takes to build GTR motors, I would have bought this in June to fly around in for 6 months.
