    S2000 1999 Grand Prix White $11900

I didn't actually want another car, I got this as part of a deal. And seeing as the other 2 cars haven't sold, I will have to put this one up for sale. I am spending time tracking down the parts for this and playing with it, instead of working on my race car as it needs to be ready for the next event.

Quick run down since I have owned it. I was told it's been repaired previously and has been inspected. I did a PPSR and that checks out. Front left was damaged in April 2011, and was inspected Nov 2012. It's currently not registered.

The car has been resprayed in Grand Prix white, the original White is not as bright. The guy I bought it off was starting to remove the aftermarket bits and sell them off. So it had no mirrors when I bought it. All he sold was the mirrors and the nice carbon fibre intake. I have found and bought a pair of original mirrors in matching white. On Friday I will be getting the original airbox and a set of original wheels off an S2000. I took it to Nakama and he found a few things wring with it. The drivers side shaft has some movement at the diff, so most likely the bearing is shot. The car drives with no weird noises. And the tailshaft has a slight bit of play. I can get a diff for $1000, and a tailshaft for $100. The front left LCA needs 2 bushes. We checked the chassis front, rear and centre for square, and it all was good. Inner plastic liners are missing as are the undertray plastics.

      More info-
It has race engine mounts, new slotted front rotors, strut bar, engine dampener, oil cooler, Toda exhaust, subwoofer, ASM front bar, electric soft top, power windows and A/C all work fine. Megan Racing coilovers, diff bushes and other stuff I can't think of. The headlights are not Aus standard. Vu said I will need to change them I had a guy offer to loan me a pair of original headlights. But my RWC guy didn't seem to notice. I just put in a really good drivers seat, washed and conditioned the leather and gave the car a once over. It looks good.

Faceballs messages every 2 seconds. I like buying cars, don't like selling them. Especially a boy racer car like this one. Every young "Asian" guys dream car. I joined the Facebook group, I think I am the only white person lol.

How does it compare to a MX-5?

It's gone now. How does it compare to an MX5? For one, it kind of feels cool. Steering input and direction change is as good or better than a well set up MX5. It pulls harder, sounds better, especially after 6000rpm. Loved the red leather seats. I am considering buying one again when I have less cars.

I raced one of these (with an exhaust, not sure about other mods) with my SE, it was about the same fasts
                          now with extra gearbox'y goodness

A guy last year had 185 rwkw's in his S2000 on E85. Decent power, more than my turbo MX5.

I feel ripped off by the premature departure of the S2000 from your fleet. Was hoping you were going to do this LY:
