Possible WTB QLD: 80 series, Liberty H6 manual wagon, Delica...

Heading up to visit the rellies in the Gympie hinterland after Christmas, and rental cars are bloody expensive now.

Have a crazy idea of buying something under the excuse of 'saving' $1500 worth of rental car fees. Looking at either a Pre 1995 family 4WD, a pre-1995 Delica, or a H6 manual Gen 4 Liberty (wags or sedan).

Anyone got anything that they are looking to move on?

Wait, Gympie has a hinterland now? I grew up there and the best bet I can make is ‘Imbil’.

Mate of mine had an old Delica for a time, it wasn't an enjoyable ownership experience; he replaced it with a much older VW Transporter van with Subaru running gear so he has the temperament for owning (fixing) old/weird shit.

T30 first generation X-Trails look like the pick of the bunch in this class, considering similar vehicle myself.

          Well Wondai/Murgon/Kingaroy.

Also not looking at a softroader, already have the Kluger. Looking for a 25+yo 4WD for camping (80 series/Delica), or a fun-ish daily (Liberty)
