Electric Power Steering - wire size

Adding electric PS to the project car so I need to know what size power wire it needs. Thinking of powering it directly from battery via the master switch via a 50 amp fuse and activating it from accessories Have been told that these suckers draw a lot of current.

Which electric power steering motor/pump are you using?

As a start the factory fuse and wiring size is usually a good start.

Ford, Mazda and Volvo electrohydraulics pull up to 80A full load and are fused at that.
