Take that rear wing off and there's half a second a lap improvement right there!

              Very good.
I had a loose rocker cover in the first run was the reason for the James Bond smokescreen. All good after that. I'd love to crack a sub 60sec lap I suppose would be a more realistic short term goal. You going in August? 22nd I think.

There are lap records on their website. They are a bit out of date, but they'll give you a good idea of what to aim for. http://www.queenslandraceway.com.au/lap_records.html

Is the commodore a streeter? Or dedicated race car?

Still registered as a streeter, but soon not to be. Reg runs out in August and hiring a trailer will work out cheaper than Reg, insurance etc. Then also there's exhaust restrictions like cats that can go. There's not much interior trim left neither.

About the rear wing comments; it is adjustable and does make quite a difference to the way the car handles in a positive way.Too much angle of attack does create a lot of drag and actually causes the car to understeer noticably, so I've dropped it to a mid position and the car handles just fine and the compromise I suppose is a little straight line speed.
