Where to find Unichip on BA

Dumb question but if our BA XR8 has a "Herrod Tune" and no Flash box then it's likely that it was done when Herrod flogged rebadged Unichips or some other shit or someones lost the flash box.

So anyone know the likely hiding spots for a Unichip install on a BA? I've not gone looking at the loom bellow ecu yet but I guess I'm looking for some splicing and a non-OEM sub-loom fucking off into a hiding spot under the dash?

Car is stupidly rich at idle, has few other tune related behaviours that we are trying to chase by ruling out other things.
A proper flash tune with new box of tricks is on the cards in the future but in the mean time I have other little things to sort like PCV lines leaking vacuum and all that hoopla...

Herrod only ever did SCT boxes for the BA from memory.

Try calling them to see if they've still got it in their records perhaps?

I can confirm Herrod do the SCT tune on a BA.

Back in the early days they did a piggyback before switching to the SCT gear - at least that's what FordForums indicate.

What they do now I don't care as the car will be going to Dale and using whatever box of tricks he recommends when retune time comes along. Just want to get on top of what's there first so there's no surprises.
