Think there will be a few years of development left in the M series I can't imagine Andy not wanting it to be almost as flexible as the e1280 was but with a more robust hardware/firmware environment and base fuel model. I think it is very much still in a growth phase software wise.

Yeah, hoping so. However, losing many of the articles and images associated with them leaves a bit to be desired...Originally posted by Slides View PostThink there will be a few years of development left in the M series I can't imagine Andy not wanting it to be almost as flexible as the e1280 was but with a more robust hardware/firmware environment and base fuel model. Also, anyone able to tell me if they/Eugene has the auto tune function like the Haltechs or TunerStudio/MS?Chris

I frequently get asked for ECU files on some of the cars I have tuned so I've got some of the useful ones and put them online for download. This is something I've been meaning to do for a long time, but only just got around to doing it.
While not really helpful for a Ctrl-C Ctrl-V tune, it will help some people setup inputs and outputs, get a rough idea on timing and other settings.

auto tune works in eugene yes, however the modular ecus dont currently support it as apparently it wasnt in demand so wasnt high on the priority list to get implemented straight away (it is coming though after i and a few other guys had a whinge haha)Originally posted by takai View PostYeah, hoping so. Next tyre kicking dumb cunt question from me, are Elite 950's worth looking at?
The VMS has me sorely tempted considering whats in it compared to whats available but would I be an idiot for completely disregarding injector drivers since there is probably 11ty miles of wiring and sensors and shit I would be installing anyway. I am reasonably aware of what I gain/lose between the two but the 1500 and higher spec is getting a little spendy.

Any word on whether it has come through the pipeline yet?Originally posted by trdee View Postauto tune works in eugene yes, however the modular ecus dont currently support it as apparently it wasnt in demand so wasnt high on the priority list to get implemented straight away (it is coming though after i and a few other guys had a whinge haha)Chris

Yeah, it's really nice.
My original scope was to see why it was cutting out. A firmware upgrade and from scratch ECU file helped the drivability, and then the coil was found to be overheating and replaced. The loom was a bit spade terminals and poorly routed so I did a little bit of tidy up while I was there, re-terminating the CAS, ignition and ignitor setup for piece of mind.
On first start I noticed the oil pressure was 7-15 PSI so parked it up and advised. It turns out that after the recent rebuild, a oil gallery machining hole in the valley was missing a 1" welsh plug, so all of the pumped oil was simply returning to the sump through the valley return! He had been driving it for a few thousand KM's so it was pretty swarfy with plenty of score marks on the cam.
The rebuild is now done and the auto got looked at too so it's done about 2000 km for shakedown and it's time for the dyno tonight at Scott's.
Aiming for 160 HP, which for these old things is probably an expected output.Jason Broadhurst

No worries Feared, it's only a hobby to most of us so I'm just happy to help get cars going, be it physically, remotely or proxy by providing resources. Considerable effort goes in to my website and resources, so it's great to get some positive feedback, thanksOriginally posted by F3ARED View PostWhats the intake side of things on it like? Guessing its the efi-throttle body that bolts onto the standard manifold?
Also, thanks for posting the link up to your files...currently playing with base setting up an EMS so will come in handy

It's got this setup. I'm very impressed with it. For a carb replacement kit, it really is simple enough for anyone yet provides considerable plug and play options like in built wideband, plug in looms for LS coils etc, all available from Holley.
The only down side I have found so far is the idle control algorithm. The throttle blip stumbles a little and doesn't come down to rest as gently due to lack of configurability. Not something most people even bother configuring in top end ECU's with good idle control like Emtron, Motec and Adaptronic though.
