    That tooth profile on your axle is meant for a VR sensor. A hall target wheel is square edged teeth. A VR target is points/waves

    Both the tooth hight and the gear tooth modulus are very fine. Maybe a spectec sensor will do the job. They have some small
    ‚Äčtarget options if you must go hall and use that ring. But a spec sheet saying a 2mm sensing gap is fine when the tooth amplitude isn't much more than that you'll have issues.
