    Portion control and cavity volume measurements are important.

      Yeh, carbon fibre is very light of course but S-glass is a lot stronger, particularly in resisting impact. So my research says.

        Saw a door build in a mag, Race I think, shaped a piece of surfboard type foam to fit between two composite skins then bonded it all together. was on a Maserati or similar.

        Edit: Expanded polystyrene foam offcuts from a building site, glued together, cut with hot wire, glassed over then sikaflexed between the two skins.
