.2 and yes bed leveled with a piece of paper.

Had the same issues with my other printer and getting it enclosed worked and am confident I'll sort it once this one is too.

      Don't mention the adBlocker !!

Set cold or hot? It sounds like the symptoms of too much gap to me. I always set my prints up in a corner, that way I can fairly easily tweak the height as it starts printing if it needs it.

Hot, I always pre heat nozzle and bed for 30 minutes before levelling (learnt this from my Wanhou printer).

I set mine to a paper thickness when it's cold, if I try to set it hot, I get the same sort of problems you are getting.

Anywho, just binned most of my Tarantula (and the ally parts I made) The wheels on extrusion thing is terrible and driving me nuts.

New direction which will be a custom build, will draw it up and water jet frame and bits from 5mm 5052.

              On order from aliexpress;

Dual Z screws inverted with top bearing supports and anti backlash (and 34mm nema 17 steppers ).
Dual X 8mm linear rails.(use Tarantula stepper and belt deal for now)
Dual Bulldog extruders (and 34mm nema 17 steppers).
              Dual J-Head 3D v6 Volcano hot ends.

Now to sort something for the Y.

total spend so far is $120 AUD.

Prolly never get it to print as I'll get bored with it but its nice to have a "hobby" at the moment as am bored shitless with life (home and work).....

I wrote a little guide a few pages back, did you add the paper thickness to your z-offset? Idea is the z-offset is to get the nozzle touching the levelled bed. If not, your slicer will add a layer thickness to a 0.1 gap which won't help with adhesion.

                    2. Set z-offset + paper thickness (+0.1)! this was all of my bed adhesion issues.

                      Cant remember to be honest.

Building a machine from scratch based o nthe Tevo I purchased, I'll look at the Z offest in the slicer once it is back online.

My Tevo arrived just before I went away on hols and put it away until I could focus. Dug it out the other day and started. I have been taking it slow trying to do things correctly.

Fondles, I like the aluminium gear you have made. PF group buy?

At the electricity bits part now, not one of my strengths. I have gone for bootlace ferrules for the screw terminals. Not having a bootlace crimper I've just flattened them but their a little too wide for the hole. So I did a little double crimp which results in a *rough* star shape but I am not sure. This is the heatbed wires. I found the Narva pin terminals which use a standard crimper which looks better.

The mosfet upgrade will be an early mod.

Thanks, Ive binned it all and started over !!

I'd love to sell em but by the time I outsource the cutting and then post em they would be damn exxy. I can send the DXF's though if you want to have them made locally.

Do you want inverted Z's ?

If not my parts are just tweaked ones from Issac Fankhauser, I have those DXF's.

If you want mine I'll have to sort some bend drawings which will be Jpegs
