Have you considered simply subbing out the prototype printing to someone else, like Bill for example?

Save investing $3-5000 in hardware and materials for something you might never get the use out of, and when you need a protoype just make a phone call, send an email and wait for the post man to show up a couple of days later.

Dieser sieht ziemlich gut.Es hat einen großen Print-Plattform und der Preis scheint recht vernünftig.

^It looks like almost every plastic part on the machine is made by a 3D printer.

The machines have begun replicating themselves!

So which companies should I buy shares in to make the most of this 3D printing future?

Can't you do much the same sort of thing with Plasticine?

That 3D pen blew past $100k on it's first day on Kickstarter, from memory.

How's this for an interesting design...

Got an email from FormLabs requesting shipping address and with details on paying for shipping to Canada. Ground shipping via FedEx cost me just under $100 (USD$$93.13). Don't have a delivery date yet (or even shipping date), but I will be surprised if they make the estimated April delivery. I'll still have import duty and the federal and provincial GST (totals 15% in Nova Scotia) to pay when it arrives, but I can claim all the GST back.

Still no word on the cost of the polymer resin other than the fact that I can buy 1 litre/month for the life of the printer at a guaranteed maximim of USD$129/litre.
