So to the guys with 3D printer,

Are you able to print any of these large enough (30cm2) for display/model purposes

If you can separate the STL parts in the file so they are small enough to print then yeah, no probs.

            I've got a real simple cover plate type thing, i think it's 25mm x 25mm and 4mm thick.
Been sent a IGS file for it?
Is anyone able to take a look and let me know what it'd cost to knock one up?

Apparently they send venue details after registration. 433 Logan Road, Stones Corner, 4120, Terrace Room. I wont be there though.

Using food safe plastics? I'd be more concerned about the difficulties cleaning 3D printed stuff.

The printing stuff isn't food safe, technically.

The problem I see is that you can't really clean it properly with the rough texture so plenty of little nooks and crannies for stuff to grow.

Just wet and dry it till its smooth as a baby's butt. Take 20 mins tops.

you would also need one of the Stainless steel printers (there is apparently one?)

                            FWIW that's PLA, not ABS.

PET is classified as food safe. Problem is with the inevitable pores and voids left from the printing process.. This just makes it difficult to clean, a PET print will survive a dishwasher however.

can you run it through most printers?
