Considering upgrading my ageing ChinaTIG and looking at the SWS Alumtig as suggested by someone somewhere in one of these threads. Look to be a decent thing but keen to learn more.

    Anyone actually have one?

Currently plugging in and out due to lack of power points (see: rental). But yes, its not a huge issue, just one that i dont understand from a usability point of view.

Gotta say though what is the go with most new welders having the main power switch on the back. I know it makes cable leads shorter, but for ease of use its far more annoying The new CIG I got has it there and itís unreachable when in the trolley. Such a pain.

Keep an eye out for ebay sales. They sell them on ebay and you could easily get it $100+ off. Seems like a good bit of kit.
Especially with footpedal and -17 and -9 torches.

Is this still the low-$ AC/DC TIG hotness? I had a quick look at Everlast and a few others, but don't really want to spend over $3K. Well, not yet anyway.
Yep, thumbs up from me too. 1.5 years of use, no issues

I bought the Unimig Razor 200 a couple of months back on the advice of a few boiler makers.
    Has been excellent.
Replaced my 20 year old Australian built Lincoln.

They work as advertised and don't blow boards like the Ciggyweld and BOC units reportedly do. Really happy with mine.
