    Hey all,

Looking for some ideas for mounting my pedal box in my STi..

It's a floor mounted AP Racing unit:

Only pics I've seen of the previous version of this pedal box has it mounted this way:

The STi's floor is full of stampings etc as you would expect.. so yeah just looking for some ideas other than the examples above...

The floor will flex if you don't make a nice rigid mounting system, so don't just bolt it to the floor like I did and then had to weld rectangular tube under the car to brace it.

Profile cut some 50x20 RHS to fill the stamping and then weld that in. Can also do the same underneath to further reinforce the floor.

I'm doing the same thing at the moment with a Tilton under foot, looking to mount it using folded tray/false floor like below.

When I got my cage installed, I got the fab guru to weld a flat plate to the floor (Evo 6)

Drilled a couple of holes in it. and dropped in some weld in M8 bosses similar to the below...

But all in vain... I need more leg room otherwise I will be sitting on the back seat (Rear mounted MC's) so am swapping to a PE Racing pedalbox to move it closer to the firewall.
