What exactly is this low inertial bearing system Tobs, what sort of bearings and materials?
No doubt a 6000rpm shutdown would not be great for the turbo or any other parts. My point was that it won't instantly lose all oil from the turbo so that its totally dry.

I don't have the material specifications of the low inertial bearing system yet. Master Power's Chief Engineer is in Germany at the moment at some big car show and won't be back until the end of next week.

Edit - just realised that Takai has asked the same question.

2x IP AE86's both asking about GT 28 Sized turbos.. look out ;-)

      Equivalent im after is something like a GT2860R - 707160 - 5

I'd be interested in the largest available internally wastegated turbo in the master power range.. Need to suit a 3L engine though so a GT28 sized equivalent probably wouldn't cut it.

The Garrett GT2860R is listed as having the following specs:
            Comp:
            Ind: 47.2mm
            Exd: 60.0mm
            Trim: 62
            Turbine:
            Ind: 53.8mm
            Trim: 76

I've got these MPs coming in with my next order:
            Comp:
            Ind: 46.4mm
            Exd: 60.0mm
            Trim: 60
            Turbine:
            Exd:48.0mm
            Ind: 53.4mm
            Trim: 81

They come with a 0.65A/R. This is the closest to the GT2860R.

I'll check for you but they should have something in GT30 and GT35 size internal gated. I've never ordered one and don't have any on order. How soon are you looking at getting one?

I'm looking at running a GT45 one of these on my 4.o litre motor. Do you have these in stock?

What MP turbo would be a good replacement for a genuine GT35 1.06 for a 2JZ with a redline of 7000rpm (could not be fucked paying $2000 to replace the stock ECU just because of a turbo change when the GT35 already makes 476rwhp on stock ECU). Aim is to make a worthwhile power gain over the GT35 and still have good a usable power curve with a 7000rpm redline and get a 4000rpm converter up.

Na. Ryan was talking about maybe trying to drag it again. Just a bit of fun contemplating possible mods I can try to get him to do to it if he wants quicker times. :D His modded GT35 would be worth over $1000. So if a cheap upgrade could be made for a $500 or on top of that it might could be a good idea.

Does that turbo come with a P trim turbine wheel? Jon (psi999) from this forum got a MPT70 but with a very small turbine (0.63?) housing for his 2JZ Aristo with essentially the same everything as the R31 regarding ECU and engine etc. He never finished the car, but PFs own Al (JZK25) finished the car with another owner and it made less than the R31 did.

Al how much boost was it running and what power did it make?

Tobs, how what sort of difference would T76 make over the T70? How would response compare to a ball bearing GT35 1.06?

Just before anyone gets exited this probably wont be happening, but if it looks like an extra 50rwhp can be had for fuck all extra money Ryan could be convinced. How much does a cheap but not shit wastegate cost?

If you're looking for a GT35 replacement the closest I would have would be a MP37 or T60 P trim. Both of these turbos have considerably bigger rear wheels to the GT35.

The Inducer on the GT35 is 68mm compared to MPs P trim of 74mm.

The T76 is rated at 100hp more than the T70 on paper. The only difference in the turbo is the compressor wheel. I haven't had a chance to compare both turbos on the same setup. The T76 on a RB30 has made 620-630rwhp on 18-20psi. I don't have any results of a T70 on a RB30 or 2j yet.

The T70 Q trim make 500-550rwhp on the LS1 turbo kits with between 10-13psi. This is a different kettle of fish though because its almost twice the capacity.

As for lag the T70/76 is getting up to GT40-42 size so they will definitely be laggier than a GT35.

I've totally sold out of all of my T76s. I've got 1 T70 Q trim and 4 T70 P trims left in stock.

As for gates I've used those Chinese 60mm gates on a few setups and all have worked well. They're about $200.

I'm selling off all my current stock cheap at the moment to make room for the new shipment arriving shortly. I've got the following turbos left in stock:
