    Mamba/Kinguwara turbos

    Anyone have any feedback on Mamba turbos sold by Eiji Takada?
    Looking at one of these for a 1JZ if I cant find anything used/good/cheap locally

    Chinese junk or genuine decent product?
    Vaguely remember someone saying they are garrett CHRA's but with aftermarket housings etc

    The quality of the castings and machining is much better than garrett. Sad but true. The CHRA is a Garrett copy.

      I know the Chinese can make good turbos, I'm yet to replace an exploded china Garrett (and those have the worst castings known to man);
      Just need to know if these are any good?

      Just need a 'budget' replacement for fucked twin's, the Mamba looks like a bolt up solution.

        I've had a Kinugawa on my TD42 patrol for ~50,000kms.
        Does what it should and I have had no issues

          Just out of curiosity, what's the biggest Kingugawa turbo that'll fit onto a standard WRX? Just bolt on type of thing.

            Probably a TDO6h 25G. You are restricted by the 57mm inlet fitting.

              Ta. How many Llamathrusts would that make on my EJ25? Just a rough guess.

                Enough to thrust the teeth off the gears? Is that a geargasm?

                      How big do you need? I have their xr6t upgrade on my falcon and it seems to make angry noise and make wheelspin. Need to find time for a proper tune though
                      (Kinugawa t04r billet thingo)

                          Pulled the trigger on one in .74 AR, his Mitsubishi shit seems to get decent reviews for not exploding so I guess we will see.

                              Billzilla, I'll have a look at their turbos. They make an equivalent of what I used to run on my 2.0. It would be excellent, and you would be able to make a lot of lamathrusts.

                              http://shopping.kinugawaturbo.com/ki...2-1-1-2-4.aspx <---this with a billet wheel would perform similarly to my blouch unit. Keep in mind you have an extra 500cc's.
