Ring repco about the CV boots because if they are uni fit boots they are that horrible thin plasticy rubber.

hmm at this stage it's repco or nothing, i simply don't have time between now and when i leave to sort anything else out. i did think about getting them from my favorite CV shop when i goto toowoomba tomorrow, but i don't know that they're open on the weekend, and now dad has recruited me to help him concrete something or other when i get there anyway.
PS you and i should mount a mission to go steal hotgeminis welder while he has no net access and can't see our plan i need to modify a cat, and possibly a muffler...

im thinking this would have been much easier

                1. bulk up on supercheap degreser.

                2. spray the crappers out of box with said degreaser.

                3. pay another 30 bucks and take it to another mechanic for rego check.

                3. Profit = no lost skin pulling stupid shitty gearboxes out.
                yep

yeah, this is true, although at the same time i do have this niggling thing thing in the back of my head that says i'm about to drive this car to sydney and back, and spend 3 weeks driving around the bush whilst there, it may not be the worst idea ever to actually get the car in decent working order. but fuck it seems like hard work now.
