Most definitely did with my old VS 5ltr 5speed (IRS).

At the time I ran Bridgestone B530's. Axle tramp all over the place.
Dropped a set of Kumho's on it and no tramp but it then tramlined like all buggery.

I've experienced the same thing with the R32. Some tyres tramp more than others.

I'm currently running Toyo Proxes 4 and not a hint of tramp but at basically the same time I did new springs shocks and just prior rear subframe urethane bushes to stop it moving around.

What do you mean by tramlined?

Grabs every line in the road.

Apparently it was just one of those things with that Khumo tyre and the VS dungadoors of that time. This is going back to 1999.

Meh, ive fitted a bahzillion different tyre/rim combos on my galant.

The only thing that stopped tramp back in pre turbo days were toyo semi slicks. Only because i couldnt spin them. I ended up breaking the mount on my tramp bars instead.

Any ideas why different tyres would affect tramp? Could it be tyre pressures??

it'll be to do with the friction co-efficients of the various tyres causing more or less 'bounce' under slip conditions. it just gets into a harmonic and tramps until you stop spinning them.
