VN diff ratios?

    my experience is most 3.91 are just as noisy, dunno if its got to do with the gear ratio itself or the way they were meshed at factory or general wear and tear with age, if the crown and pinion teeth were meshed correctly maybe they would shut up, i just don't know if they would have abnormal wear and tear on the teeth from being diven for so long with the bad pattern.

    the vl 3.45 bw ratio diff almost never have noise issues, so go figure...

      Jim i would steer towards a set of 3.45 or at worst 3.70 . My friends 6 cyl VN went from std to 3.9's and it will did was fly to about 80 then died in the ass , the VN doesnt like to rev at the best of times and with 3.9's thats all its going to do . For a stockish VN 3.45's would be ideal . They are cheap ( read free ) and super easy to get.
