    I fail to see how this is true, if you pulling 8000 rpm and in top gear thats 1:1 so tail shaft sees 8000 rpm....unless its got some serious converter slip.

    If this is for a manual its definitely incorrect.

      manual yes auto no,

      you will have anywhere from 7% to 25% converter slip in a auto depending on who does the converter and how much power your making...

      you can run single piece in a commo to 160mph and im betting it is a lot longer than a ke20 shaft..
      im a cunt

        Yea like i was saying, at end of day if you assume minimal slip you will be safe, and seems he will be fine anyway.

          ya plus i mumbled on the phone to the tailshaft mob and they must of heard 1280 when i meant 1028 so shorter = safer

            i should of clicked as he was saying yeah thats a decent length tailshaft, while i was thinking fark because the gearbox is nearly in the freaking boot haha
