    gas

    Gidday guys.
I,m new to this so dont give me any grief.

I,ve read lots of stuff on here about whats best and whats not for v8 engines.
My story is this. Currently freshening up a 351c/378 stroker. 4ma crank and chev rods are existing. It was a build done about 12 years ago by someone else.
The budget is tight, unfortunately, so heads are getting port and polished. Slightly oversized valves, maybe 4v, or in between, edelbrock airgap rpm ontop, existing rebuilt 750 holley on top of that, then twin impco 300a,s on top again.
Yer, l know, it fuck up the perfomance, bla, bla, bla.
This is called a compromise. ok,ok l might be off my head, but it is still nice to know that if all hell goes on, l have a choice.
The original electronic ignition has been rebuilt, and l will probably strobe it approximately 5' to split the octane difference between gas and petrol.

ie; our real shitty gas running at 100-110 octane and premium juice at 98 octane.
There is an auto elec that has done quite a few stobe jobs with excellent success so instead of running a dedicated twin curve setup for the ignition, l will go this direction.
    My question is simple.
Has any one run a twin impco setup through a single 750 holley arrangement.
l have researched the tech part and it is available.
The theory is to increase the airflow through the holley and to even up cfm flow from gas carby through the petrol carby.
So l,m just wondering if anybody else has tried this compromise. Ohh, the heads are getting as shave or 2 to increase compression to around 9-9.5:1.

first thing is to post in the right section. Feedback is for feedback.
Turns out, far too much has been written about great men and not nearly enough about morons

Jmac will be all over this like a fat chick over a mars bar. just search for his posts, best have a good supply of coffee ready cause they will take a whilst to read then you can go on to his next post.
Any reason why you dont go a dedicated gas setup ? you will be able to run a higher compression comparred to a dual setup.

+ 1 dedicated LPG and reworked dizzy curve and HEI or maybe MSD
go the impco 425 and associated throttle bodies for heaps more simplicity
        - and minimal but predictable pressure drop
twin outlets, twin lock-offs, and single model E or PE converter

There is a bloke on Fordforums.com.au in the LPG section that has made an adaptor plate to mount 2 x 225's on some sort of Holley base plate.

Also feeding the system is necessary for good hp so you will need twin 10mm lines and an Impco Vff30 lockoff and the Century B2 convertors are pretty good.

Just go for straight LPG much easier to live with as it's always a compromise when dual fueling.
