that probably sounds about right
im not sure mine is ok.
at low speeds (like almost stopped) and turning, it makes grinding sounds like our VN. not happy. even the old one didnt do that.Comment

shouldnt it have a warranty ???
the price i got quoted was with 6 months warranty, so if the reco'd rack is f*cked, its just a matter of taking it back, saying "its broke" and point at it...:DComment

come to think of it, mine made a nice grinding noise for a bit while all the air in the power steering fluid came out (takes quite a few left and right turns of the steering wheel for it to eventually go away)... mine is dead quiet now, but ****ing up (see above posts)
might be that - i'd say see how it goes for a few days...:DComment

i thought it could be air. it doesnt seem to be consistant - but i havent been driving it much.
i'll talk to a few people tomorrow abou it and it should be all aligned by the end of the week.
cant wait, it feels so much mroe stable on the road already.. i tell you though, if this rack is screwed.. i'm NOT doing it myself agian
