there's lots of good reading on RSLC to do with 6mts. One bloke just got one landed from Japan through import monster in melb for something like 3k. Add another $300 and you could have it on the road cheaply as you would only need an auto liberty tailshaft and could reuse your starter motor, clutch, flywheel and crossmember. You would need a 6mt mount if the box didn't come with one

I reckon you could do a 6MT swap and come out even, depending on what 6speed you fit (DCCD, non-DCCD, pre/post my06, etc). Sell the straight cuts on Rexnet - they love 4.44 PPG boxes like Paris Hilton loves attention.

motherfuckers on rexnet won't let me sign up with a gmail account goddammit
also it's not registered at the moment, so i'm guessing he will have to get a blue slip, register it for 6 months so that i can pick it up and drive it home, then i will have to transfer the car to QLD rego, he then cancels the NSW rego and cashes it in, everyone is happy? what a clusterfuckI am a Spinal and Sports Physio based in Flemington, Melbourne. He won't cancel/cash in NSW rego - he'll just hand in a notice of disposal to the RTA.
Would it be easier to get it registered in NSW or QLD? Doesn't make sense for him to register it if you're going to have to get it re-registered so soon in QLD, and considering QLD doesn't do annual inspections maybe it'd be better just to get it registered up there?

i thought if he gets a blue slip, then i want to drive it 1000km to QLD, and the coppers pull me over, that i will get raped for driving an unregistered car? i can't get it registered in NSW in my name because i have a QLD license (correct?)I am a Spinal and Sports Physio based in Flemington, Melbourne. I think you could get an unregistered vehicle permit. Maybe? Best check with the RTA.Originally posted by stockymcstock View Posti thought if he gets a blue slip, then i want to drive it 1000km to QLD, and the coppers pull me over, that i will get raped for driving an unregistered car? i can't get it registered in NSW in my name because i have a QLD license (correct?)
