Is that WRX on doing the job Bill? Looks a bit small to me, particularly for a V6 turbo.

          Um...it's not even a V6. It's a 4 cylinder.

Anyhow I got a price from PWR for a liquide oil cooler Part # PWO5944 $540 + GST.
The air type, 280x256x37mm is $310 + GST, the bloke said these two perform pretty much the same.
Basically i explained its a VH41 twin turbo approx 500hp.

I had pics of my Tory here somewhere.

I mounted my Setrab oil cooler to the side of my PWR radiator and it gets vented air.

I like how you made it front wheel drive.

                  Cool car BTW.

Locate oil cooler in driver's side of engine bay with ducting in and out = win?

thermostat for the oil cooler. you dont want cold oil flowing through the cooler. it takes longer to reach optimum engine temp (if you get there at all)

Is it worth putting a oil cooler on a 2jz, or does the factory one work just fine? Looking at taking some load off my cooling system.

                          '90 2jz-gte 929
                          '02 twin-locked TD42 GU Patrol

the stock one isnt too good on hot days with extended hard driving.

plus getting rid of the factory one means you can get rid of all the coolant lines on the cold side of the engine (Iscv, and throttle are the other 2 things that has coolant fed to them that you dont need)

also if your trying to keep coolant temps down mount the oil cooler under the passenger headlight, not infront of the rad.

There all really good points guys, im kind of thinking liquide oil cooler, that would mean i can mount almost anywhere.
I will nut out the car this week, have another look at mounting position.
