      had to move the spring platform up on a set of FA3TS struts so as to put them in an 808
      this involves making a big, stinky mess , several times over as i had to do it twice to get the body off the new rims

      this was months ago,, and the shed still reeks

      happily enough we refilled them with straight out tranny fluid ,, and it worked !
      ( well as good as 35 year old doughy oil filled shocks will go )

        Plus you can never really get it all out. Despite pressure washing and degreasing them there is still a bit left in the strut on the walls. Means for welding it stinks and smokes...
