      MAP sensor.

Thinking more I dont think it is my wiring, while dodgy and ugly, I still soldered the shit good. As soon as I hit boost it goes fine, no miss, power is all there. Clogged injector, low load not enough fuel, big pressure blows past the clog?

Wiring issues would probably make it miss all over the shop on boost when the loads on it were higher?

OK well. It is cylinder 3 that is fucked. Pull the leads out one by one, big change. Cylinder 3 lead out, no change at all. Changed the plug in cylinder 3, no change. No smoke from the exhaust at all. The plug from cylinder 3 was pretty black and fouled, but no oil. Put a screwdriver to all 6 injectors, they all sound the same.

          Now what?

do a comp test on no3. if it has comp its gotta be the injector. if no comp check valve gear.

Don't wanna spend like $140 on a compression tester. Maybe just take down to local mechanic tomorrow.

Fuck Repco is expensive. Supercheap website has compression testers listed for like $40.

Put your thumb over the plug hole and crank the engine. That will tell you what you need to know.

It is all the time now, but it definitely was coming in and out before. I would say the wiring still looks "ok" but you have seen it, it was far from ok in the first place. Better go over everything.

                      Ahhh.

It was the wiring. I jiggled the fuck out of everything and now when I pull cylinder 3 plug the idle drops etc.

Thank fuck it was just my dodginess and not a blown cylinder (though that could of become a dead cylinder from my dodginess.

I really need to re wire these injectors. There is just so little room and I have picked up something that makes a suitable plug (water sealed) but not so much enough to make a proper wiring harness. I am not good at being tidy and proper but I know paying someone who knows what they are doing will be expensive because it is finicky work.

                      Thanks for the help .

EDIT - Also I cant believe I got on boost with an injector not firing properly.
