I reckon a clevo with cast iron heads would be on the scale of heavy, near the top, I just used some black grade 8.8 fasteners random length with some big nuts as washers.

I was always more worried about the flex in the stand - used to have a prop under the balancer when rolling it cross country to keep it from fatigueing at the bottom joints...Originally posted by Greg Rust View PostI reckon a clevo with cast iron heads would be on the scale of heavy, near the top, I just used some black grade 8.8 fasteners random length with some big nuts as washers.
Don't stress."Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" "Whats that?" "A fantastic bike," I said. "The new model is something like two thousand cubic inches, developing two hundred brake-horsepower at four thousand revolutions per minute on a magnesium frame with two styrofoam seats and a total curb weight of exactly two hundred pounds."

what kind of engine stand do you have the clevo on? we tried 2 different stands when attempting to do a rear main on the boat motor. even tried welding steel onto the second one to stiffen it and it was still creaking and groaning. we gave up and took it to the engine builder to deal with.Originally posted by xm-221 View PostI've got Holden 6cyl head bolts holding a Clevo and a 250 crossflow on the engine stands at work. Use whatever you can find, the higher the grade the better though.
