Good point about vac leaks, also worthwhile checking earth on heads (back on passenger, front on drivers side).

Still think plug leads, as they are stupid two click ones.

New leads and plugs last night, no change. No intake or vaccum leaks. Earths are good. Issue is really bad when the car is cold too.

Was tuned by Power Torque Engines in QLD apparently, has hypertec flat top pistons, Scat rods, Bee hive valve springs, mafless tune and a few other bits and pieces.

Maybe dirty tb or tps. Easy check.

If its drinking fuel, could be an o2 sensor, so dodgy on bank throws it in other, but wot cool.

Need scanner i think. Heaps of cheap android ones about.

Yeah mate has a proper $5000 Scan tool thing at his workshop, Ill call in and get it checked out., Ill look into the Android scanner too.

I'd be questioning why it needed pistons and rods for a baby cam install.

Either the guy who sold it is pulling your leg or it may have had FI at some stage.

Dunno, Engine was built in 07 i think, Then car was sold to the guy i bought it off in 2010, then i bought it now, so hard to track it down. Doesnt seem to have any holes for cooler pipes etc, and everything in the bay is as its meant to be. Have all the reciepts for the work and parts in there, but not going to pull it apart to check though until it needs it.

Car hasnt changed, Have plugged the scan tool into it and it only came up with low voltage to the MAF, But since it has a mafless tune i assume this is normal? tried plugging a MAF in and it ran worse.
Car goes on the dyno friday and they are having a look at the afr's etc to see what its doing.

Was just on the dyno looking at the tune, absolute rat shit,. I recon a 2 year old with a Etch a Sketch would have done a better job.
Detonation across the board, way too lean across the board then 9.5 AFR's above 5000rpm on WOT. Fuel Enrichment wasnt even turned on, and hasnt been since 07. Working on the complete retune now, Should pick up 20rwkw and better fuel economy.

Made 245, so lost some power, but made 60 more torques, so car feels faster, I can drive at low speeds and skids are easier!

Also replaced both o2 sensors, made a big difference on its own!

Are you sure it actually has a cam ?

Mine is a bolt ons (exhaust, cai & tune) stocker auto and made 238 on one well known dyno, and 235 on another...

Still, if it feels better via seat of pants that's a step in the right direction...

Have the spec sheets for a cam there, No idea if it was put in. Not sure how this dyno reads, don't really care as such, happy the car runs properly and it feels heaps better!
